It’s here. It’s here!

Okay, almost. But I can finally give you a sneak peek at the cover of To Win Her Smile, Players #5, set to release on July 18th.

It’s bittersweet knowing I’ll soon be releasing the last of this series out into the world. When I first sat down with Jake, my original player, I had no clue I was about to meet such a fun cast of characters or how strongly each of them would worm their way into my heart. From the beginning, these larger-than-life athletes and their ladies have made me laugh, cry, and sigh. I’ve also needed a fan thanks to the steam they created as these hot couples searched for their individual HEAs.

Wyatt and Piper, the h/h of To Win Her Smile are no exception and, in my humble opinion, their lighthearted tale is a perfect conclusion to the series. Seriously, when a story begins with a superstitious pro quarterback accidentally breaking the nose of a down-on-her-luck baroness, you know you’re in for an off-beat, wild ride.

I’m thrilled to announce Wyatt and Piper’s story is available for preorder here.

Reserve your copy now.

Sometimes love and luck collide . . .

When sultry British Baroness Piper Darrow falls on desperate times, she needs a diversion—and cash. As a talented photographer, she jumps at the chance to travel to the U.S. for a Manhattan Marauders football event. But she gets more than she bargained for when buff quarterback Wyatt Hunter’s errant pass lands…in her face. And when it results in Wyatt’s comeback of a lifetime, the superstitious athlete is convinced Piper is his good luck charm . . .

With his sights on the Super Bowl, Wyatt will do anything necessary to keep Piper close. The fact that she’s a feast for the eyes is a bonus. And as they get closer, he discovers that beneath her proper English surface is a sweet, sexy seductress. Soon the notorious playboy finds himself genuinely smitten, and surprisingly open to love—until his powerful family uncovers something about Piper that threatens to shatter his trust. Now he’ll have to decide whether to team up with his fears, or his heart.

DIRTY LITTLE SECRETS
Book Two in the A Likely Story Series
from AJ Nuest

Revenge might be cold . . .

Xander Dade has a deep-seated regret, and the nomadic decade he’s spent doling out justice as a computer hacker hasn’t helped ease his conscience. Ever since Charlie McGovern was asked to leave the specialized revenge-for-hire business called Dirty Deeds, the curvy blonde bombshell has been stuck in his head. And now that the talented thief is being stalked by a dangerous enemy, Xander isn’t about to let her slip through his fingers—not when he’s so close to convincing her she belongs in his bed . . .

But desire is a dish best served hot

Caught in a high-stakes game of cat and mouse, Charlie won’t be surrendering her secrets any time soon. Not even when long-lost friend, Xander Dade, shows up, packing a sexy agenda all his own. Her movements are being tracked, and accepting his help may put everyone she loves in danger. Things are getting too hot to handle, and selling her secrets to the highest bidder may end up costing more than her heart . . .

~ * ~

Well. Her shoulders hiked to
around her ears as she filled her lungs. Dropped in a hard shrug as she firmly
exhaled. Not a heartbeat later, a smile teased the corner of her mouth, and she
nearly chuckled. Whoever he was, she had to hand it to the guy. He’d just saved
her a Himalayan-sized heap of trouble. Starting now, she owed him a huge round
of thanks for his help.

He descended the steps as she
strode those last few feet toward her building. Geez, he had to top out
somewhere around six-four. Broad shoulders, trim hips. Rolling, sexy swagger in
his gait.

And dinner. At the very least,
she owed him her thanks and dinner.

The form-fitted stretch of a
white thermal shirt peeked through the unbuttoned sides of his red plaid
button-down and leather jacket, and her brow twitched at the thought of
exploring those cut ridges and slopes with her tongue.

Yowza. And if he played his cards
right, possibly an invitation to spend the night.

A five o’clock shadow covered his
jaw, the scruff a thick sandy brown, and framed a pair of lips that had been
molded by some evil entity with the sole purpose of shutting down a woman’s
brain.

Good God. Talk about an eyegasm. That
fantastic mouth had chew toy written all over it.

“So, yeah. That was pretty
impressive. Thanks for—” She locked onto his gaze and withdrew a step, her jaw hanging
off its hinge like the broken gate the super refused to fix by the fire escape.
Only one person she’d ever met had eyes that rivaled the clear, aquamarine
warmth of the Caribbean Sea, but there was no
way
he’d shown up in her part of town. “X-ray?”

The left corner of that luscious
mouth slid up in a lopsided grin, and she sputtered, shaking her head. Dear
God, it was him. She would’ve known
that heart-stopping smile anywhere.

“Hey, Chuck.” He ate up the
remaining space in one relaxed, easy stride. “It’s good to see you. Sorry for
stopping by unannounced.”

What in all the sweet holy
hotness was he doing here? She
snapped her mouth shut, her brain tripping over itself to catch up. Those were
his eyes, all right, and that was most definitely the lethal tilted smile she’d
always thought was so darn cute. But the rest of him did not resemble the same gawky teenager she’d left standing in
Malcolm’s front hallway ten years ago.

Heck, given the two-year age gap
between them, back then, she’d always kinda considered him her geeky, klutzy
version of a kid brother.

Well, not anymore. Whatever tread
climber he’d been dating, the pendulum had officially swung the other way.
“Trust me when I say it’s not a problem.”

Dirty Deeds
A Likely Story by AJ Nuest
An Eye for an Eye

As owner of Dirty Deeds, a tech-savvy company specializing in the age-old art of revenge, Eden Smith knows first-hand that secrecy is critical. But when a dead body washes up on the shores of Lake Michigan clutching her business card, Eden’s well-constructed world begins to fall apart. Apparently, she’s not the only one with a passion for payback, and staying alive to outsmart a killer has become her most important job of all.

Game for a Game

Hardened homicide detective Kelly Riordan is convinced Eden Smith is hiding more than she’s willing to admit. Years on the force have taught him that nothing is what it seems, and that couldn’t be truer than when it comes to investigating the alluring owner of a revenge-for-hire business. But revealing her past could put everything Eden has worked for in jeopardy. And trusting a man like Riordan goes against the very instincts that have kept her alive this long.

Book one in the highly-anticipated

Kelly’s phone chirped, and he frowned, slipping it from the
pocket of his jeans. A glance at the caller ID, and he jerked to attention.
“Holy shit.”

He knew that number. It’d been the bane of existence for the
past forty-eight hours.

Archer lifted his brows. “Problem?”

Holding up his hand, Kelly thumbed the screen. Whether or
not this call qualified as a problem was still up for grabs. “Riordan.”

“I heard you’ve been looking for me, Detective.” The voice
was female, soft, held a slight hint of humor. Yep. He raked his hand through
his hair. This was gonna be a problem, all right. “I hope you don’t mind that I
called.”

His brows jacked toward his hairline. Mind that she
called?
What the hell was she trying to pull? For Christ’s sake, the woman
had not only located his private number, she’d dialed it and then acted like
calling him was no big deal. Meanwhile, he’d only spent the last two days
driving himself nuts trying to figure out her loca—

His eyes slammed shut. But, of course, she already knew
that. Which could only mean she also knew his efforts at trying to find her had
resulted in a dead end. So she’d called him. A power play to
establish right from the get-go exactly who was in charge.

Nice move, Dirty Deeds. Bitchy, but nice.

“Are you there? Maybe I’ve called at a bad time. If you
want, I can always—”

“No, no, I’m here.” He locked onto Archer and wrote an invisible
line through the air, signaling for him to get some paper and a pen. Kelly
cleared his throat. “How can I help you, Miss…?”

She laughed. Smooth, low. Like a shot of barrel-aged whiskey
had just slid down her throat. “I think the question you meant to ask is how
can I help you.”

Dammit. Huge problem. Huge, huge problem. Not to mention,
she seemed to be enjoying this game she’d cooked up. A game she played without
giving him the parameters. “Had I known it would be this easy to get your
assistance, I would’ve started asking questions about you a long time ago.”

It was a stupid thing to say since he hadn’t even known she
existed until Monday night, but based on the way her husky laugh brushed his
ear like a feather, she got the point.

“Very good, Detective. At ten o’clock tonight, I’ll be at 17
South State Street on the twenty-first floor, room 4-B. I’ll give you ten
minutes.” She paused. “Funny, I was about to say come alone, but I know you
won’t. Besides, that sounds corny. Even for me.”

The line disconnected.

Kelly lowered the phone and stared at the screen. On
impulse, he hit *69 to dial back the number, but a weird busy signal repeatedly
beeped in his ear. Yep. He’d just been spanked and, at the same time, something
about her…

Damn, the woman had him intrigued.

TEMPT THE NIGHT
by Dixie Lee Brown from Avon Impulse

Trust No One, Book 5
~Available February 24th, 2015~
Former Navy Seal Jim Brady works best under pressure. At least he used to. Now, fighting flashbacks from his time in Iraq, he’s given up everything that’s familiar to him in order to protect the innocent…from himself. His mission in Alaska is simple—find a mother and reunite her with her son. Piece of cake. Except…the woman he finds isn’t the one he’s looking for. This one is pressing a gun to his ribs, and she’s covered in someone else’s blood. Not a great first impression.
Samantha “Mac” McCallister barely believes her own tale of dirty cops and murder that lands her in the same house at the same time as Brady. One minute, she’s enjoying a ride-along in her best friend’s cruiser. The next he’s dead, and she’s wanted for his murder. Brady is involved somehow. At the very least, he may have information she needs. Mac never expected to be hiding out from the law, but if Brady can be trusted, she just might survive long enough to clear her name. Too bad trust isn’t the only thing she’s feeling for the handsome stranger.
Working with a fugitive isn’t really in Brady’s plans for this lifetime. Still, something about the blue-eyed beauty tells him she’s not the source of the trouble—she’s running from it. Deep down he knows he’ll protect her no matter what…but can he protect his heart? That’s another story.

Time Out, Valentine
by Melinda Dozier
Publisher: The Wild Rose Press
Release Date: January 2015

And here’s the amazing Time Out, Valentine cover …

BLURB

Lexi’s life is one big dump. Or so she thinks. To keep her mind off her latest breakup, she stays busy with work. It’s no big deal, since writing for Time Out Portland Magazine is a blast…except for the one small snag – Grant Reeds. Grant, a shy but sexy computer geek, is new to Time Out, working as the Networking Director for the online magazine. Even though Lexi thinks he doesn’t notice her, he sure as hell does. The owners have a plan for their upcoming Valentine’s Special, pairing up the two to explore romantic date ideas around the city. Soon, Lexi and Grant learn that the old adage, “Opposites Attract,” can ring true.

EXCERPT
Grant sipped his beer and surveyed the room around them—anywhere but at the siren next to him, with her fancy drink, an umbrella hanging off the side. Overhead lights strobed the room, gleaming in all directions. The DJ announced a new song and a new crowd rushed to the dance floor, leaving them more alone in the back of the room. Thank God.

It was stifling hot. He tugged his collar from his neck and rolled the sleeves of his white button-up. His glasses slid down his nose, forcing him to take them off and put them in his shirt pocket.

Luckily in that part of the room, the music wasn’t so loud that they had to scream to converse. He only raised his voice a fraction to ask her the question he’d been wondering since they set foot in the place. “So, you think this is romantic enough for a Valentine’s date?”

She batted her long lashes in his direction and smirked. “There’s low lights.”

“Yeah and loud music, people all around.” To help prove his point, someone bumped him in the back, pushing him closer to Lexi. His hand circled her waist and rested on her hip.

She sipped the drink, moving the umbrella with her other hand, then licked her lips. “It’sthe place to be. All trendy couples find their way here.” She cocked her head. “What would make it more romantic? Kissing?”

A slow smile formed and he faced her. Not a bad idea. “Actually, yeah.” He placed his bottle on the table behind them, cracked his knuckles and stretched his neck.

She laughed nervously, putting her weight on another sexy as hell foot. “What? You’re gonna kiss me? For real?”

“We need romance.” He grabbed her cup and put it next to his bottle. His gaze dropped to her mouth.

“You kissing me won’t—”

He placed his thumb on her lips. “Shhh. Stop talking so we can be romantic.”

Reluctant Prince
Kingdom of Cymmera
Book One

By

Dani-Lyn Alexander

Betrayal lies cloaked in shadow.

Seventeen year old Ryleigh Donnovan is certain her life is cursed. Nothing ever goes smoothly, and her first job interview is no exception. An earthquake rocks the building, sending Ryleigh on a frantic search for her younger sister, a search which lands her in the hospital. Terrified they’ll push her for answers she can’t afford to give, Ryleigh flees with a mysterious stranger.

Jackson Maynard is about to be ordained as a Death Dealer, a warrior for the Kingdom of Cymmera, but first he must pass one more test. When he fails to acquire the human girl the prophet has chosen, he’s forced to stand trial for treason. Banished from his realm, he seeks out the girl from the vision, Ryleigh Donnovan, and together they embark on a journey to save his dying kingdom.

Excerpt:

Jackson clutched the stone wall of his chamber and gasped for air. What had just happened? He had returned to Cymmera, of that he was certain, but how? He hadn’t accessed the gateway. At least he didn’t remember opening it. A vision of her assailed him, beat at him, reminded him that he’d failed.

Oh, man. He was in trouble. He pushed away from the wall.

Images of his target taunted him.

He shoved a chair aside and tore through the pictures scattered across the table in a desperate search for salvation. There. He pulled the shot from the mess but found only condemnation. The long blond hair flowing behind her in the snapshot had not been visible to him, but there was no mistaking the deep blue of her eyes.

The pounding of a fist against the heavy wood door released him from whatever spell she’d cast.

“Jackson.” Another loud thud punctuated his name.

He struggled to get his bearings, tried to slow the racing of his heart. “Yeah, one minute.”

“Now. Your father wants to see you, immediately.”

Kai, his father’s most trusted warrior. He was in more trouble than he’d originally thought. Was it possible the king would sentence him to death for ignoring a direct order? Surely not without offering him a fair trial, or at least granting him the opportunity to explain. But what could he say? What explanation could there be for failing to deliver the girl? None.

“I won’t knock again.” The warrior would soon break down the door and drag him before the throne.

He crumpled the offending photo, the evidence of his disgrace, into a ball. Instead of tossing it in the trash as he’d intended, he shoved it into the small leather satchel he wore at his waist. With a deep breath, he released the latch and pulled open the door.

“Come.” Kai turned his back on him and strode purposefully down the corridor, their footfalls echoing through the silence of accusation.

The thought of escape taunted him, but he would never make it out of the castle. He had only recently completed his warrior training under Kai’s watch and would be no match for the seasoned soldier. Besides, Kai was a stickler for the rules. If he tried to run, the warrior would surely take him down, protégé or not.
