July is almost behind us. Can you believe it? Time flies when you’re having fun. It’s been three months already since I released my first baby, er title. To mark the date, this week’s six is from GIFT OF THE REALM, a modern fantasy romance.
The setup: Keely has just discovered Colin knew all along how to break the curse and end the haunting dreams she suffers. Pissed, she attempts to use her fairie gifts for the first time. With a single word, she ‘zaps’ herself home, leaving Colin behind. Shocked at her new ability, Colin catches her unaware when he arrives a few minutes later. As a Halfling himself, he has abilities of his own.
“You’re not the only one with gifts, Keely.”
He straightened and she attempted to rise to her feet, but found she couldn’t move. Not an inch. Frozen in place, her knees remained on the ground and her arms hung out like a scarecrow’s, refusing to answer her brain’s demands.
“Hey!”
Hip cocked, he crossed his arms over his chest, his smile smug.

Wonderful Six, Mac. I can’t wait to read this book. It’s on my Kindle reader now. Just have to polish off the book I’m working on then I’m digging into it.
