Tuck Book Boyfriend

Have you met Tuck?

His story, To Win Her Trust, book 2 in the Players series, is on sale for $1.99

and he’s ready to sweep you off your feet.

Oh, and if you hurry, you can snatch up book 1, To Win Her Love, for $.99 this week as well.

You’ll find all formats of both books at Kensington Publishing.

With summertime here, my kindle is burning up with all the titles I’ve downloaded but haven’t had the time to read. In the past two weeks I’ve read several romances I thoroughly enjoyed and, in the interest of efficiency, decided to do a blast review. I recommend all three of these fabulous stories. You can find them and my full reviews at Amazon. Enjoy!

Kelly Moran

Five Bells and Whistles

“Coming from a large family, I loved the chaos of the Covic’s interactions. Quirky, charming and fun, the diverse cast of characters were a great backdrop to the blooming romance between Cam and Troy. Ms. Moran moved the couple’s relationship from friendship to love with perfect pacing while making me laugh, cry and cheer.”

Avery Flynn

Five Bells and Whistles

“Sexy, smart and witty, this read is a thoroughly fun ride. Both lead characters had just enough baggage and charm to have me rooting for their happily ever after from the first meeting and the nasty villain(s) kept me guessing long beyond where most stories tip their hands.”

Maeve Greyson

Four Bells and Whistles

“Maeve Greyson always delivers and she’s done so again with Stone Guardian. A solid contemporary with mystical elements, her hero is one sexy alpha with a heart, her heroine is a strong woman who knows her mind, the romance was spicy hot and her villain scared the crap out of me.”

Happy May, romance junkies.

Can you believe spring has finally arrived? Here in Phoenix, spring has been flipping her skirts for a while already but the volatile weather patterns that stalk the region and country through the month of April have been left behind as we sail into the balmy days of summer. The season always brings a smile to my face. The same can be said this year, but I also have a few extra blessings to brighten my mood including the sale of my first romantic suspense, Irresistible Deceptions. Look for more info on its spring 2015 release later.

On a more current timeline, I’m thrilled to announce I’ve just today completed the contracting process for my first Christmas story. A Case for Calamity is a fun Christmas novella with a cowboy flair and part of the 12 Brides of Christmas series from The Wild Rose Press. As it happens, the contract comes today, the 8th anniversary of The Wild Rose Press. To celebrate, I’m offering up an e-copy of my lighthearted country music contemporary, A Song for Sophie, part of TWRP’s Honky Tonk Hearts series. To be included in the drawing, follow me on Facebook by clicking here and leave a comment below telling me you have. Current followers just leave a comment.Winner chosen Sunday, May 4th.

Oh, and did I mention A Song for Sophie has been selected as Book of the Month at Long and Short Reviews, and as a finalist in the 2013 RONE awards? I was sure I had. 🙂

I told you I had a few blessings to brighten my mood.

Happy spring, all!

Hey hey, romance junkies. Welcome to Teaser Tuesday. The following tease is from That Certain Something, the second book in a three book contemporary football series I’m currently shopping.

The premise:

Neuroses and self-induced isolation are the legacy of CC Calhoun’s dysfunctional childhood until she literally lands in Kevin “Tuck” Tucker’s lap. When the sexy wide receiver’s shocking kiss stops a debilitating panic attack in its tracks, she has to wonder, has she been cheating herself out a normal life by avoiding men all these years? To test the theory, she propositions Tuck, but will her idea of a few simple dates with the infamous womanizer cure her or is she destined for a broken heart?

The setup:

She’s just laid out her proposition, complete with restrictions. Some kissing and maybe a little light petting is okay but she has no intention of taking their relationship further than semi-platonic. Tuck has other ideas and demands a demonstration, starting with a soul wrenching kiss. Um, yeah. Did I mention Tuck looks a lot like Kris Hemsworth in my mind? Just sayin’.

Unblinking, her eyes met his. His chest bellowed like a thoroughbred after a trip around an oval track, making his voice husky and low. “Still need a second to think?”

“About what?”

Despite the fire raging in his gut, he chuckled, and although he wanted nothing more than to taste her again, he settled for a touch. Fingering a golden curl, he tucked the cool silk behind her ear. “Right answer. Any more points I need to know about?”

She dropped her forehead to his chest for a long moment then straightened. He let her go when she stepped back. “Can I get back to you on that? I can’t seem to recall any points at the moment.”

He fought a grin and crossed his arms to keep from reaching for her again. He might be making the biggest mistake of his life, but her candid honesty charmed him almost as much as her honey sweet body. “You’ve got yourself a deal, sunshine, if you agree to my points.”

Some of the languidness cooled in her eyes. “You have points?”

He nodded.

“How many?”

He held up three fingers.

“What’s number one?”

“Three dates won’t do. Give me a minimum of three weeks or no deal.”

She studied him silently then nodded. “What’s the second point?”

“I decide what we do on these dates.”

She shook her head. “I’m serious about overcoming the attacks, Tuck. I can’t do that if I don’t push myself. To do that, the dates need to be in a public place.”

“Oh, I can guarantee you’ll be pushed.” He planned to do plenty of pushing. She wasn’t the only one with a theory to test. “We’ll deal with your fear of crowds, but from the sound of things, you don’t have a lot of experience just having fun. Stick with me.” He tapped a fingertip to her nose. “I’ll give you three weeks you’ll never forget.”

He smiled when she swallowed, hard. “And three?”

“I’ve agreed to your points. I expect you to agree to mine. Unlike you, I know the pleasure a man and woman can find together when the attraction is mutual.” He narrowed his eyes. “Don’t bother trying to claim that isn’t the case here. You practically melted in my arms.” She lifted her chin. He grinned, holding up a hand. “I’d never force a woman, but that doesn’t mean I won’t do my damndest to get you into my bed.” He leaned closer until her uneven breaths once again bathed his lips with moist heat. “And don’t fool yourself, sunshine. I’ll succeed.”

He wasn’t sure which of them was more surprised by his warning. A virgin. Jesus, what was he thinking? The inner cautioning didn’t stop him from jumping in with both feet. He straightened away from her, but held her unblinking gaze. “Knowing that up front, if you insist on finding yourself a test stud, I’m your man.”

I hope you enjoyed this week’s teaser. For more of my lighthearted contemporary romance titles, visit The Wild Rose Press or Amazon.

LOL Okay, my e-books are on sale, but hey, as much of me as I put into writing them, it’s the same thing. From now through Christmas, several of my titles (and a lot of others too) are being offered at 25% off their regular price. So, head on over to The Wild Rose Press and enjoy!

Candra’s Freedom, Book II

The Golden Key Chronicles
Available NOW on Amazon
The key would unlock his future,
and the safety of his kingdom,
but he never imagined the sorceress
would unlock his heart…

Lost in a world she doesn’t recognize, Rowena struggles to find her place. Yet her abilities with a blade and the loyalty of a fierce falcon don’t discourage the heated advances of the handsome Prince Caedmon, and the
connection between them seems much deeper than her troubled heart can recall.

If you are still in love with the Disney princes of your youth, and wish one would show up in your bedroom late at night, then you will love this breathtaking fantasy romance series from AJ Nuest!

Water rained down his body. His sodden shirt clung to each sharply defined muscle in his chest, his leather pants glued to the contours of his rigid thighs. Her heart tripped a beat at the magnitude of sheer, gritty determination forged in the scowl on his brow.

Prince Caedmon was a man on a mission. That was a nice idea for a change.

He finally made landfall, fisted his hands and increased his pace. A few trumpeters blew a half-hearted attempt at announcing his arrival, but their notes blurted like a fat man’s flatulence and faded listlessly in the air. Some people knelt, others remained standing, and several bobbed like apples in a rain barrel, unsure which action to take.

Another victory at denouncing their absurd rituals. Rowena chuckled under her breath. Bravo, sir. Well done.

He locked onto her and she grinned, even when his penetrating stare pierced her like an arrow and he clenched his scruffy jaw. The real icing on the cake would be if he ignored his father. But no, that would never happen. Even as the thought occurred,
Prince Caedmon strode straight for King Austiere’s open arms.

Except…wait a second. He wasn’t heading for his father. He marched straight for her.

Oh no…

All the amusement fled her body. She glanced left, then right before meeting his formidable gaze a second time. Of course. Distracted by his gallant swim to shore, she’d
forgotten. His dismissal of the pageantry didn’t have anything to do with defiance. He thought them still engaged.

She withdrew a step, but her shoulder blades bounced off the front of Marcelene’s ample bosom. Dammit! Pressed inside the crowd, no other escape route was available. And time was quickly running out. Her pulse leapt and her fingertips tingled as if  she’d touched Fandorn’s lightning catcher. She couldn’t seem to draw any air. Great tits above, what was the man planning to do?

Hey Hey, romance junkies,

You know how I love freebies, so read on about AMANDA IN THE SUMMER by friend and fellow author, Brenda Whiteside. It’s FREE today through Saturday!

Gorgeous cover, Brenda. Take it away, sweeetie, and tell us a bit about your release, please.

I loved the mailman for years. It’s hard to put an exact date on when he fell from my graces, but it has to be around the time cell phones and texting entered my life. I don’t believe he’s delivered a letter to me in many years – so who needs a man who never brings you anything but junk?

Amanda in the Summer, told through letters from three generations to a friend, took me back to my letter writing days. The letters span fifty-seven years. They begin with the whimsical, romantic 1940’s, through the groovy 1960’s and culminate in the modern 2000’s. What fun I had playing three different characters in three very different eras.

Three generations of women…and the secret that strengthens their love.

A line of women, all named Amanda, stretches back for generations. Each with her hopes, her joys, her pain—each pouring out her heart in correspondence with a dear family friend who shares their lives, understands their loves, and joins in their sorrows.

But within the correspondence lies a secret. And as the youngest of the Amandas retraces the journey through the years—beginning in post-war America and following through to modern day—the letters reveal, layer by layer, the Amandas who came before her. Soon, the truths and lies hidden in the letters lead her down a path of self-discovery that forges a bond between her past and future.

I’m excited to tell you Amanda in the Summer is FREE today on Amazon. Don’t you love FREE? Please spread the word and be sure to get your copy today!

An Excerpt:

August 24, 1968

Dear Tilly,

A few days of bliss with no one to talk to but the

seagulls. I have you to thank for this. I’m so glad you

popped back after Amanda, Robert, and Mother left. The

strain I put on all of us while you were here would’ve

dragged on for who knows how long if you hadn’t

returned. Once again, Tilly, you read the tea leaves and

righted things.

My moods have been so ragged of late. Jealousy of

all things. Jealous that you could talk to my daughter,

get along so lovely with her, which I’ve had difficulty

doing these last few months. Jealous of your longer

running friendship with Robert than with me. I’m not

sure if I was jealous of him or you. You’re both mine.

And angry that the two of you are uncomfortable around

each other after so many years and not making sense of

that. When Robert left, I tried to give him the blue

swimsuit you had left behind and asked him to drop in

on you to return it. He said no, I could do it when I got

back. This was so unlike him and did more to unsettle
